CAMP IN THE CITY 2025

Summer Camp is full of wonderful experiences. Be ready for group games, team building, camp songs, Bible lessons, gaga ball, meeting new friends, eating in the dining hall, and having the time of your life.

Using the years of experience and trained staff of Mount Shepherd Retreat Center, we will offer a summer camp experience in the city of Salisbury. We will be creating an atmosphere where campers will have fun, learn about God's love, and build relationships that can last a lifetime.

Camp in the City will run from July 28-August 1. The times will be an 8:00 am drop off and a 5:00 pm pickup, Monday - Thursday. Friday will be a special half-day, starting at 8:00 am for campers and then families will be welcomed at noon for an END-OF-CAMP CELEBRATION in our sanctuary.

It is our goal to keep this experience affordable and obtainable for all children. Thanks to a very generous grant we received, this all-day, week-long day camp is only $99 per camper. This covers the cost of camp, lunch, and two snacks each day.

We believe every child should be able to attend summer camp, so if there is a financial barrier for your camper, please fill out a scholarship request form at the link below.

We need a lot of volunteers to help Camp in the City run smoothly. Volunteers work alongside staff in each camper group, help with lunch and snacks, and much more. Click the link below to become a Camp in the City Volunteer. Volunteers need to be currently in high school or older. 

 Camp in the City is a collaboration between Mount Shepherd Retreat Center in Asheboro, NC, and Milford Hills UMC, to bring a week-long summer day camp to Salisbury. We believe every child deserves to go to summer camp, so we are bringing a summer camp experience to the city. 

Camp in the City is open to ALL elementary students who have completed Kindergarten - 5th grade.
