Our Chancel Choir provides music for our 10:00 am service and they rehearse on Wednesdays at 7:00 pm in our choir room. We enjoy singing a variety of anthems in contrasting styles and difficulty levels. We usually sing a cantata during the Advent/Christmas season and we have also sung for other church events including mission fundraisers. The choir typically takes a break from rehearsals in July. There is no audition or special requirement in order to join other than having a love for singing. We welcome anyone who wants to use their singing voice to honor our God!
The Joybells, our handbell choir, meets on Wednesdays at 6:15 pm before the chancel choir. We have our own bell room with plenty of space. We are privileged to have four full octaves of bells as well as three octaves of hand chimes. Our choir typically plays in worship 4-6 Sundays a year in worship. We usually play around homecoming, Fall/Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, and sometime in spring. Our group has also provided music for our Cheergivers Lunch, a lunch during Advent given for our shut-ins. While some members of our choir know how to read music, others do not. Therefore, we are happy to accept members at any skill level, including beginners. In handbells, we all work as a team and help each other.
